Turncable

Have to say that its been a great weekend so far, despite the long workday on friday...ended up only coming home from the construction site at 11:30 pm. Woke up early to help Christoph, a friend from work, move out of his apartment...carrying boxes, couch, bed, tv, etc. down the 6 flights of stairs for a nice work out!

Met up with Martin, my boss, at the office and then headed out to Turncable, the wakeboard park that our office planned about 2 years ago, meeting with some clients to discuss another possible wakeboarding park in Austria, and for me to get more of a feeling for what these "clubhouses," for lack of a better term, look, feel, and function like. After looking around and our proposal to the clients, we got an awesome surprise from the owner of SESITEC would was able to organize us a bird's eye view of the park and the surrounding area with some quick helicopter rides. First time being in a helicopter for me, but enjoyed it greatly.

To top of the day, I came home in time to watch Bayern Munich beat Schalke 4-1 and secure, at least for now, the 3rd and last qualifying position for next years Champions League.

STADION

Second night in a row at the Stadion an der SchleissheimerStr. Went to see the second legs of the quarterfinals of the Champions League, Manchester Utd. vs. Chelsea and Barcelona vs. Shaktar Donesk yesterday and Schalke vs. Inter Milan today. Great atmosphere, great setting, and great games...couldn't ask for more. Went with Christian, a good friend from work...told me I had to experience "Stadion." Even though Bayern Munich, the local favorite club wasn't playing, it was still a great time, had to show up an hour and a half before the game, during the work week mind you, to even get in the door. Needless to say it was absolutely packed, which also guaranteed a great sound. Singing, cheering, chanting...and so on.

Absolutely ecstatic about this discovery and will be spending a significant portion of my weekends there. It will be on a totally different level this Sunday as Bayern Munich are playing against Bayer Leverkusen in a  crucial game for both teams. Cannot wait! Hopefully there will be pictures to come, because it would take me hours to describe the place on the level of detail that it deserves.
